The True Gospel of Jesus Christ‏

Hello Friends!

Sadly, many churches in America compromise the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is my contention that the pastors leading the American “Christian” church today share the Word of God in one of three ways – they either:

Preach the Word of God

Avoid the Word of God

Distort the Word of God

The Bible warns us that the penalty for sin is death, spiritual, physical and eternal. The present consequence of sin is our lost condition, affecting our relationship to God, ourselves, other people, and creation…

The Gospel of Jesus Christ

 
The following Scriptures describe the problem, the repercussions and the solution to the sin nature that is in everyone of us at birth. We must heed the Word of God and seek Him while there is still time…   

Our Problem is Sin

Matthew 5:27-28 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery'; but I say to you, that everyone who looks on a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."

Galatians 5:19-21 "Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you just as I have forewarned you that those who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."

We All Have Sinned

Romans 3:23 ". . .for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"

Psalm 53:2,3 "God has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men, To see if there is anyone who understands, Who seeks after God. Every one of them has turned aside; together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, not even one.”

The Results of Sin

Galatians 3:10 "For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, to perform them.'"

Ephesians 2:3 "Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest."

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

God's Plan for Our Salvation

Titus 3:4-7 "But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that being justified by His grace we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."

God Sent Jesus Christ to Die for Our Sins as the only Substitutionary Atonement
 
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."

Ephesians 1:5-7 "He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace."

Our Salvation is Based on Our Faith in Christ, Not Works

Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast."

Romans 5:1 "Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."

How God Wants Us to Respond to the Gospel

Acts 17:30,31 "Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead."

Romans 10:9,10 "If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation."

Mark 1:14, 15 “And after John had been taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the Gospel."

The Scriptures are very clear. What we do with Jesus Christ now, will determine what Jesus will do with us when we die – and for all eternity...

We are not guaranteed tomorrow – tomorrow may be too late!  If you haven't yet made that most important decision of your life, won't you make Jesus Christ your personal Lord and Savior today - before it's too late? Today is the day of Salvation!
