Jesus Christ: Son of God and Son of Man‏

Hello Friends!

Who created the universe, including all animals, angels and men? Are you ready for the answer? A Man who physically walked upon this earth 2,000 years ago! His name is Jesus Christ the Lord, the Son of God and Son of man...

Jesus Christ: Son of God and Son of Man

How could a man do this? He was not only a genuine human being, but also a genuine member of the eternal Godhead - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. By supernatural conception in the body of a virgin woman, a human nature - body, soul and spirit - was added to His divine nature so that He could die for our sins on the cross.
The angel Gabriel told Mary:
The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God" - Luke 1:35
Thus, the Holy Spirit revealed through Dr. Luke, "the beloved physician" (see Col. 4:14), that Mary's human nature and her genetic connection with Adam, Abraham and King David were inherited by Jesus, but not her sin nature.

But who was this "Son of God"? Or, as He so often called Himself, "Son of Man" (see Dan. 7:13)? Many years after Dr. Luke's account of His conception, the Apostle John explained:
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made - John 1:1-3
This is totally beyond our comprehension. John goes on to say:
He was in the world and the world was made through Him and the world did not know Him - John 1:10
This first chapter of John's gospel is actually the capstone of divine revelation concerning Christ our Creator. To the apostle Paul, God had given this insight:
For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist - Colossians 1:16-17
Indeed, God the Father (see 1 Corinthians 8:6) and God the Spirit (see Genesis1:2) were vitally involved with creation events, but it was the Son who actually did the work of creating "all things" even as it was the Son who actually paid the infinite price to redeem us from the penalty of sin on the cross of Calvary. Thus, God the Father:
has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds - Hebrews 1:2
Thank you, Lord, for giving us the gospel of John, with its final identification of Jesus Christ - the One who created the universe!

Keep looking up and sharing the Gospel while there is still time… Hallelujah and Maranatha – come quickly Lord Jesus!

We are not guaranteed tomorrow – tomorrow may be too late! If you haven't yet made that most important decision of your life, won't you make Jesus Christ your personal Lord and Savior today - before it's too late? Today is the day of Salvation!
